Viega LLC, a Viega Group company, has officially opened a new production facility with a seminar center in the US state of Ohio. With the investment of around 178 million US dollars and an area of 20,400 square meters, the company is expanding its manufacturing capacities in the United States. After McPherson in Kansas, Mantua is Viega’s second production site in the USA.
“Despite the current challenges, North America is a key market in our growth strategy,” says Markus Brettschneider, CEO of the Viega Group. He continues to see great potential especially in metal press fittings for plumbing and heating. “The new plant in Mantua brings us closer to our customers in the eastern United States and in Canada. Shorter delivery routes ensure better availability and faster reaction times.”
Production and training on site
In addition to manufacturing, a training center has also been established at the new location that offers skilled tradespeople and partners the opportunity to experience Viega systems in a practical setting. The Viega Group maintains 24 such seminar centers worldwide. “For us, it is crucial that our customers not only receive products but also the knowledge to use them optimally. Mantua combines production, training, and consulting in one location,” explained Marki Huston, CEO of Viega North America.
